Oricon Roundup 10/21: Korean Invasion!

ORICON ROUNDUP

Tohoshinki top the Oricon Singles Chart for the 4th time in their career, with their past 3 releases all no.1 hits. They have certainly cemented their place in the Japanese entertainment industry and with Jumon -MIROTIC- posting sales of 70K (up marginally from their previous no.1s) they seem to be forever gaining in popularity.

Interestingly, 3 of the top 5 positions on the singles chart were filled by Korean artists; Along with Tohoshinki, Lee Byung-Hun and Ryu Siwon also had good opening weeks to place in at 2nd and 4th.
Last week's no.1, TABOO, fell to no.13 with sales of only 9K.

Takeuchi Mariya has the no.1 selling album again this week, her 3rd straight week atop the charts. Expressions has now sold in excess of 500K and still looks to be selling well going into its 4th week.
